For lecturers

Your lecture, in two simple steps.

Open the booking link, choose an available date, then enter your details and select a topic. Chief Resident does not require a lecturer account or password.

1. Choose an available date

The calendar shows the dates currently opened by the organizer. Select an available day and choose Continue. A date that is booked, blocked or not yet opened cannot be selected. If the month has no availability, check another month or contact the organizer who shared the link.

Read the session time and timezone displayed on the calendar. Conference sessions use the programme’s event timezone, not your phone’s timezone. For the Noon Conference schedule, weekday sessions run from 12:15 PM to 1:00 PM in New York time, including seasonal clock changes.

2. Choose your specialty and topic

Enter your name and email, then open Specialty. Type any part of its name: one character is enough. Select a result from the list; typing alone does not select a specialty. Open Lecture topic to search the available topics for that specialty.

You can match a word anywhere in a title. Search is case-insensitive, and multiple words can appear in any order. Clearing the search restores the list without clearing your chosen value. Changing specialty clears the previous topic, while your name, email and date stay in the form.

Review the selected date and complete topic title, then choose Confirm booking. The final screen shows the saved result. Do not treat a loading indicator or an uncertain network response as confirmation.

If something changes while you book

Availability is checked again when you confirm. If another lecturer has just reserved your date or topic, Chief Resident explains the conflict so you can choose an available alternative without re-entering your other details.

If the connection is interrupted, keep the page open and use its recovery controls. The application checks the existing request instead of asking you to create another booking. Use Help or Show guide for the current screen; reading a guide never books a session.
