Questions & answers
A few helpful answers.
These answers explain the existing Chief Resident booking flow. The live calendar and the organizer’s settings remain the authority for dates and availability.
Do lecturers need an account?
No. Lecturers open the public booking link without registration or a password. The booking form asks for a name, email address, specialty and one topic. Organizer access is separate and protected.
Why can’t I select a date or topic?
The organizer must open a date before it can be booked. A booked or blocked date is unavailable. Topic selection contains the available topics for the selected specialty, excluding already-used and organizer-hidden catalogue topics. A search never overrides availability.
How do I search for a topic?
Select a specialty, open Lecture topic and type part of a title. Filtering starts with the first character and ignores letter case. All search words must occur in the title, in any order. Select an actual result to save your choice. Clear search changes only the query.
Which timezone should I follow?
Follow the event timezone displayed with the session. The Noon Conference schedule uses New York time for its weekday 12:15 PM–1:00 PM sessions. Your phone’s local timezone does not change the conference date.
How do I know my booking is saved?
Wait for the successful result screen with your saved date and topic. The application reserves both together. If the network response is uncertain, use the page’s recovery controls so it can check that request before you try anything else.
Will I automatically receive an invitation?
Saving a booking and receiving an invitation are separate. Email and calendar delivery depend on the organizer’s connected services and agreed process. The result screen does not claim a message was delivered when that has not been verified. Ask the organizer about joining instructions.
Can everyone see lecturer details?
No. The public calendar and topic selectors do not list lecturers’ names, email addresses or organizer notes. The organizer can view saved booking details in the protected workspace. Do not include patient information or other sensitive material in booking fields.
How do I correct or change a saved booking?
Contact the organizer who shared the link. Chief Resident does not provide an automatic lecturer cancellation or rescheduling flow. Do not create another booking as a workaround for changing the first one.
